Understanding Our Refund Policy

Airoreservations.com is a travel booking platform. When you purchase a flight, hotel, or car rental through us, the refund eligibility is primarily determined by the Travel Supplier's rules (the airline, hotel chain, or car rental company) — not solely by us.

We act as your agent to submit cancellation and refund requests to the supplier on your behalf. Our role is to facilitate the process. This means:

  • We cannot override an airline's non-refundable fare rules
  • Refund timelines depend on when the supplier processes the request
  • Our own service fees are generally non-refundable once a booking is made
Quick Tip:

Always check the fare conditions displayed during checkout. Fares labeled "Non-Refundable" generally cannot be refunded regardless of circumstances.

The 24-Hour Cancellation Rule

In line with standard travel industry guidelines, we offer a risk-free cancellation window of 24 hours from the time of booking, provided that your departure date is at least 7 days away.

Eligible for full refund if:

You cancel within 24 hours of booking AND your departure is 7 or more days away.

Does NOT apply if:

Your departure is within 7 days, or you have already checked in / used any part of the ticket.

Please note: Our platform's service fee may still be non-refundable even within the 24-hour window, depending on the fare type. This will be displayed clearly at checkout.

Flight Ticket Refunds

Flight refund eligibility depends on the type of fare you purchased:

Once a refund is approved by the airline, please allow 60–90 days for the amount to reflect in your original payment method. This timeline is controlled by the airline and your bank.

Hotel Booking Refunds

Hotel refund policies vary by property and rate type. When booking, you will see one of the following labels:

  • Free Cancellation: You may cancel up to a specified date without charge. Cancellation deadlines typically range from 24 hours to 7 days before check-in.
  • Non-Refundable Rate: These rates are discounted and cannot be refunded once booked, regardless of when you cancel.
  • Partially Refundable: A cancellation fee equal to one night's stay is common if you cancel within a certain window.

Always note the cancellation deadline shown on the hotel's confirmation page. Cancellations after this deadline will result in a charge to your card.

Car Rental Refunds

Most car rental bookings made through Airoreservations.com can be cancelled free of charge before the pickup date, unless you booked a prepaid non-refundable rate.

  • Cancellations made before pickup: Generally fully refundable (prepaid non-refundable rates excluded)
  • No-shows (not picking up the car without cancelling): Typically charged the full rental amount
  • Early returns: Refunds for unused rental days are at the car company's discretion

When the Airline Cancels Your Flight

If an airline cancels your flight — whether due to operational reasons, weather, or any other circumstance — you are generally entitled to:

  • A full refund of the base fare and taxes to your original payment method, OR
  • A rebooking on the next available flight at no extra cost

Contact Airoreservations.com as soon as you receive notification of the cancellation. We will coordinate with the airline to process your refund or arrange alternate travel. Please note that even in this case, refunds can take 60–90 days to process through the airline system.

In cases of airline-initiated cancellations, Airoreservations.com will refund our post-ticketing service fees related to the affected booking.

Section 07

Airoreservations.com Service Fees

Our service fees cover the cost of booking management, customer support, and platform operations. Here's how our fees work in refund scenarios:

  • Booking service fee: Non-refundable once a ticket or reservation is confirmed
  • Post-ticketing / refund processing fee: Charged per passenger, per ticket, only when a refund or change is processed through us
  • If the airline denies a refund: We will refund the post-ticketing service fee we charged you, since no processing was completed

Service fees are always displayed before you complete your purchase. If you have questions about applicable fees for your booking, contact our support team before making changes.

Section 08

Special Circumstances (Compassion Policy)

We understand that life is unpredictable. Airoreservations.com may reduce or waive cancellation service fees under certain compassionate circumstances, including:

  • Death of the traveller or an immediate family member (documentation required)
  • Serious illness of the traveller requiring hospitalization (medical certificate required)
  • Active military deployment (deployment orders required)
  • Travellers with a disability or terminal illness

Note: Reduced service fees under this policy do not override the airline's own non-refundable fare rules. Airline penalties, if any, will still apply. Please contact our support team and provide supporting documentation to request consideration under this policy.

Section 09

Travel Protection Insurance

The most reliable way to protect your travel investment is to purchase travel protection insurance at the time of booking. A good travel insurance plan can cover:

  • Trip cancellation for covered reasons (illness, injury, job loss, etc.)
  • Flight delay or missed connection expenses
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Medical emergencies while travelling

If you purchase travel insurance through Airoreservations.com, you may cancel the insurance policy within 10 days of purchase for a full refund, provided your trip has not yet started.

How to Request a Refund

Log In to Your Account

Visit airoreservations.com, sign in, and find your booking under "My Trips".

Initiate Cancellation

Select the booking you wish to cancel and click "Request Cancellation". If online cancellation is unavailable, call our 24/7 customer support.

Review Fees

You will be shown any applicable cancellation or service fees before confirming. Review carefully.

Confirmation

Once submitted, you will receive a cancellation confirmation email. Keep this for your records.

Refund Processing

We submit the refund request to the airline or hotel. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 60–90 days.
